Lake Hodges Native Plant Club is a community organization in North County San Diego focused on exploring, restoring, and celebrating native plants. Its goal is to increase appreciation, knowledge, and enjoyment of native and drought-resistant plants while encouraging their propagation and preservation. The club also promotes protection of indigenous wildlife, water conservation, and the establishment of a native plant preserve.
A central part of its mission is supporting the NativeScape, Old World, and Baja Gardens at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. These gardens are dedicated to conserving and displaying Southern California native plants, as well as succulent and cactus plants. Through its programs and resources, the club helps members and the wider community learn about these plants and their role in local landscapes.
The club offers opportunities to get involved, information about its clubs and board of directors, and meeting presentations. Visitors can also explore details about the NativeScape Garden, access resources, subscribe to the club newsletter, and follow its activities on social media.
