Libbie's

Libbie’s Place is a nonprofit Senior Day Club in Galveston County, Texas, serving adults aged 55 and older. Since 2001, it has provided adult day services designed to support members’ independence, dignity, health, and overall well-being while offering respite and resources for family caregivers. The organization is a 501(c)(3) Day Activity and Health Services program licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

Its services combine personalized wellness support with opportunities for connection and enrichment. Members can take part in gentle fitness and mobility activities, memory games and cognitive programs, and guidance related to nutrition and individual medical needs. Social offerings include group games, discussion circles, interactive programs, and creative activities such as art, music, and hands-on projects. Planned outings, special events, and on-site amenities add variety to daily life.

Libbie’s Place also supports families through monthly caregiver groups and connections to community resources. Named in honor of Libbie Rice Shearn Moody, the club continues a legacy of care for members and their families.
