Libby Andrew is an Australian author and speaker whose work preserves and shares the history of women’s rugby. A member of the Wallaroos team that played a landmark international Test against New Zealand’s Black Ferns at North Sydney Oval in 1994, Andrew draws on her own experience to tell the story of the women’s game in Australia and beyond. Her rugby journey also included playing women’s rugby league in Canberra in the early 1990s, before her involvement in rugby union.
Andrew’s book, Wallaroo 19: Celebrating Women’s Rugby in Australia, is a personal account of the sport’s early years and the challenges and achievements of the women who helped shape it. The memoir reflects on her playing career and the broader history of women’s rugby, including the determination and teamwork behind its development. An e-book is available through Amazon. The website also introduces Andrew as a speaker and features information about the book, her background, and related gallery and media material.
