Liberapay is a platform that allows you to donate money on a recurring basis to individuals whose work you appreciate. What sets Liberapay apart is that these payments come with no strings attached, giving recipients the freedom to use the funds as they see fit. Donations are capped at $100.

00 per week per donor to prevent any undue influence. While the total amount you give and receive is public by default, you can choose to opt out of sharing this information. Liberapay operates on a no-fee basis, meaning it does not take a cut of the payments.

Instead, the service is funded by donations made to its own account. However, there are payment processing fees involved. Liberapay is an open project, which means you can actively contribute by translating it, improving its code, and managing its legal entity.

By doing so, you can join the Liberapay team and receive a share of the donations to sustain the service. Your support on Liberapay helps creators continue their valuable work in building free software and spreading free knowledge. With a stable crowdfunded basic income provided by Liberapay, creators are empowered to make a positive impact that benefits everyone.
