The Consortium of Lichen Herbaria is a collaborative biodiversity-data initiative that provides a gateway to information about lichenized fungi and the collections documenting them. It brings together records from herbaria and other sources across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, as well as personal collections and research observations. The consortium supports exploration of lichen diversity through tools for classic and advanced searches, mapping, taxonomic browsing, species identification, and access to media.

Visitors can also consult species checklists and inventories covering regions and places including countries, U. S. states, national parks, and the Arctic and Southern Subpolar regions.

The site features projects, recent lichen literature, and resources such as a glossary and Symbiota help materials. Researchers, institutions, and individual contributors can participate by sharing data or joining as a collection. The initiative is supported by organizations including Arizona State University’s Biodiversity Knowledge Integration Center and Lichen Herbarium, IUCN, iDigBio, the National Science Foundation, and the GLOBAL Bryophytes and Lichens Network
