Lichfield Live is an independent community and hyperlocal news outlet that serves as a vital resource for the local community. In an era where traditional news consumption has evolved, Lichfield Live recognizes the changing attitudes towards news provision. As a result, they prioritize providing local knowledge, intimacy, trust, and connections to their audiences.

Unlike high-powered, ad-driven alternatives, Lichfield Live is committed to fostering shared identity and social cohesion. They play a crucial role in local democracy by covering important events such as local council meetings, planning meetings, elections, and magistrates' court hearings. By holding those in power accountable, Lichfield Live ensures that town and city leaders operate under public scrutiny.

However, the challenges of the 21st-century news landscape have affected the business model of news production. Advertising revenues have significantly diminished, making the future of news production uncertain. Despite these challenges, Lichfield Live remains dedicated to providing the community with insightful and relevant news content that promotes local engagement and civic participation
