About LIDÈ Haiti
LIDÈ Haiti is an empowering brand that focuses on providing healing and resilience through the arts for women and girls. Established by Author Holiday Reinhorn, Actor Rainn Wilson, and Dr. Kathryn Adams, LIDÈ initially started as a short-term project to help adolescent girls recover from the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
Witnessing the girls find their voices and teach others, the founders decided to create year-round programs dedicated to building resiliency and empowering adolescent girls. LIDÈ started working in the Artibonite region of Haiti and partnered with organizations like CARE, Smallholder Farmers Alliance, and Fonkoze to establish programs in Gonaives, Bayonne, Mapou, and Souvenance. They also collaborated with BSEIPH to provide support for children with cognitive delays.
Rainn Wilson, known for his role in The Office, is a co-founder who actively supports youth involvement in the arts through his work with the Mona Foundation. Author Holiday Reinhorn, with her commitment to grassroots educational initiatives, has been involved with Haiti since 2009. The late Dr.
Kathryn Adams, a specialist in teaching psychology and director of LIDÈ, dedicated her career to working in crisis and conflict zones. With a focus on empowerment and education, LIDÈ Haiti continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of women and girls in Haiti
