Liefde in de Kaasstad is a wedding fair in Alkmaar, created by wedding-industry professionals Daisy Schreuder and Kitty Heins. Drawing on their experience in weddings and events, they have developed an event that brings inspiration, entertainment, and wedding suppliers together in one place. The fair welcomes engaged couples planning a traditional celebration or looking for ideas with a more individual twist.
Its next announced edition is scheduled for 1 March 2026, from 10:00 to 17:00, at the AFAS AZ Stadium in Alkmaar. Visitors can explore a large inspiration area and meet wedding suppliers, with ideas ranging from styling to entertainment. The event also features activities and live music, creating an experience designed for couples to enjoy as they plan their wedding. Tickets can be ordered through the fair’s website; ticket benefits listed include a welcome glass of bubbles and a goodie bag for each couple. The organisers describe the first edition, held in January 2025, as a success, with more than 30 exhibitors, 50 activities, and over 300 visitors.
