About LifeSkills Promoters
Lifeskills Promoters (LISP) is a reputable and impactful not-for-profit National Development Organization that has been empowering young people through life skills training since 1999. Our mission is to holistically empower young individuals using specially designed life skills-based interventions. LISP has been instrumental in introducing life skills programs within the education curriculum in collaboration with the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development and the Ministry of Education.
Our programs and interventions are organized into four pillars: Education, Health & Environment, Socioeconomic Empowerment, and Institutional Capacity Building. In the Education pillar, we work closely with schools, communities, and the government to improve access to quality education for children and youth. This includes providing psychosocial support, teacher training, curriculum development, and infrastructure improvement programs.
Under our Health & Environment pillar, we focus on enhancing the health and well-being of children and youth by empowering them with knowledge and skills. This includes health education, hygiene promotion, animal health, and environmental conservation programs.
Our Socioeconomic Empowerment pillar aims to improve the socioeconomic status of young individuals by equipping them with vital life skills and entrepreneurship skills. We offer mentorship, coaching, and training in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, household economic strengthening, and vocational skills development.
Lastly, our Institutional Capacity Building pillar focuses on strengthening the capacity of institutions, including government departments, NGOs, and community-based organizations, to deliver effective programs and interventions that benefit children and youth.
