Light House is a well-reputed non-profit voluntary development organization working for the development of rural and urban assets less poor, marginalized and high risk population particularly the landless, homeless, sex worker, drug users both injecting and heroin smokers, men who have sex with men (MSM) and Hijra with transgender, distressed, school dropouts, child labor, Adibashi and other disadvantaged adults and children in Bangladesh. It is a leading Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Bangladesh that was founded in 1988 following devastating and gigantic Flood. Feeling concern, a group of young and energetic men joined together to work for the flood victims. One of those members, Md Harun-or-Rashid is now the Chief Executive of Light House. Gradually it becomes able to achieve people’s trusteeship, transparency within the working areas keeping up better relationship with civil society, district and upazilla level administration and local government. At present, Light House has been operating with more than 514 staff through around 68 field offices, which are spread over 28 districts 7divisions of Bangladesh.

About Light House
Light House Bangladesh is a well-reputed non-profit voluntary development organization dedicated to uplifting the lives of rural and urban communities, particularly those who are less privileged and vulnerable.
