About LiJOT
LiJOT is the largest non-governmental youth organization in Lithuania, uniting national youth organizations and municipal youth organization boards. With a history dating back to 1900, LiJOT is dedicated to working for the benefit of every young person. Currently, LiJOT accommodates 63 non-governmental youth and youth-related organizations, providing a platform for thousands of young Lithuanians.
Membership in LiJOT offers active participation in the European Youth Forum, the largest non-governmental youth organization in Europe. Together with other national youth groups from all over the continent, LiJOT represents the interests of tens of millions of young people. LiJOT's activities from 2019 to 2023 focus on knowledge-based youth representation, shaping youth policies, strengthening membership and internal collaboration, developing LiJOT, and empowering youth.
Apart from its core mission, LiJOT offers various benefits and services, such as Eurodesk, which provides youth information and counseling, and the LiJOT Benefits Package, offering support to non-governmental youth organizations and those working with youth. With its commitment to empowering young people and promoting their active participation in society, LiJOT serves as a platform for dialogue and seeks relevant changes for youth
