LILA Como is the Como branch of the Italian League for the Fight Against AIDS, working to promote HIV and AIDS information, prevention, testing and support. Based at Via Francesco Anzani 52 in Como, the organisation provides free, anonymous rapid saliva testing for HIV and offers testing for hepatitis C by appointment. It also shares information about HIV, including the message that people who take treatment regularly and maintain an undetectable viral load do not transmit the virus.

LILA Como supports prevention and counselling projects, self-help initiatives and people living with HIV. Its virtual support service offers a safe space through video appointments, with free emotional support, legal, social security and employment guidance, information about living with HIV, referrals to services and specialist consultations. Participants can also join peer discussion groups and connect with experienced activists, including people in areas without local associations. The organisation invites the public to support its work, including through Italy’s five-per-thousand tax allocation.
