Centro Aiuto Donna Lilith

Centro Aiuto Donna Lilith is an anti-violence service established in 2002 by Pubbliche Assistenze Riunite di Empoli, Italy. It supports women experiencing psychological, economic, physical or sexual violence, as well as stalking, and also works to protect children affected by violence. The centre provides free, confidential assistance, with anonymity and discretion, and offers telephone listening and emergency support around the clock.

Its services include personalised therapeutic pathways to process trauma and leave abusive situations, psychological and legal consultations, emergency accommodation, and individual or group psycho-educational activities for children and young people exposed to violence. Lilith manages three confidential-address refuges for women at higher risk, three second-stage accommodation facilities and two emergency reception facilities. Its trained team includes volunteers and professionals such as psychologists, psychotherapists, lawyers, educators and counsellors.

Beyond direct support, the centre promotes equal opportunities and works to prevent and address gender-based violence through school programmes, training, research and public awareness initiatives. Its projects also address bullying and cyberbullying.
