About Lilongwe SPCA Official
Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (LSPCA) is a registered charity that was established in 2008 with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in Malawi. As the first domestic animal welfare organization in the country, LSPCA is dedicated to caring for animals and promoting their welfare. At LSPCA, we provide a range of services to ensure the well-being of animals in Malawi.
Our veterinary clinic offers comprehensive care to the public, and all funds raised support our community veterinary projects, rescue efforts, and rehoming programs. Our mission is to build compassion for animals through public awareness campaigns, humane education, and the promotion of the Animal Protection Act. In addition to our veterinary services, we also conduct various initiatives, including the Rabies Campaign, Veterinary Training, Donkey Welfare Project, Community Vet Programmes, and Roadside Sale Campaign.
We are committed to advocating for the rights and welfare of animals and enforcing policy and legislation that protects them. If you're passionate about animals, there are several ways to get involved with LSPCA. You can become a volunteer, sponsor a project, or join our fundraising efforts.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals in Malawi. Located in Kanengo-Roberts/Area 28 in Lilongwe, our veterinary hospital is open to the public. For emergencies, we offer 24/7 assistance.
