Lily Willow Coffins is a Wales-based partnership founded by skilled willow weavers Melanie Bastier and Sarah Hatton. With more than 25 years of weaving experience between them, they personally craft each coffin, from the willow structure to the hand-sewn lining. Their work combines careful craftsmanship with a commitment to sustainable, environmentally friendly materials, using willow grown in the UK.
The brand makes made-to-order wicker coffins and matching ashes caskets. Its coffins are suitable for cremation, burial and green burial sites, and come with a made-to-measure, unbleached calico liner sewn into the base and lid. A premium lining, including a frilled calico liner, natural-hay-filled cotton mattress and pillow, is also available. Customers can explore the Rose range, which takes longer to prepare because it is painted.
By prior arrangement, family members may visit to help weave a chosen coffin and add personal touches. Lily Willow Coffins publishes its price list and sells directly, with delivery to customers or their chosen funeral director.
