Limburg Challenge

The Limburg Challenge is a small-scale, non-commercial mountain biking and gravel cycling festival organized by a group of Limburg cyclists. Held from 25 to 27 June 2027, it brings riders together for a relaxed weekend focused on sport, nature and camaraderie rather than racing. Participants ride two largely unpaved GPS routes through scenic areas of Limburg and parts of Germany: 125 kilometres on the first day and 75 kilometres on the second, with nearly 1,500 metres of climbing in total. Separate routes are available for gravel riders, and riders need their own navigation device or app.

The event is limited to 80 participants and includes two nights of camping, meals, drinks, refreshments at rest stops, showers, bike-washing facilities and access to swimming at Bad De Bosberg. The weekend also features a barbecue, a pasta meal, breakfasts and a campfire. Riders bring their own camping equipment or may stay in a caravan, camper or nearby rental cabin.
