Lincoln County Historical Society is a nonprofit association dedicated to preserving and sharing the economic and cultural history of Lincoln County, Georgia. Its historical park recreates the character of a small rural community, offering visitors a glimpse of the places and everyday life that once may have existed in communities such as Kenna, Liberty Hill, Goshen, and Woodlawn. Developed over the past 30 years from a bare tract of land, the park reflects the work and commitment of the Society and its largely volunteer community.
Visitors can explore displays of historical treasures and use the free Lincoln County Historical Park tour app, available for Apple and Google devices. The app can guide visitors around the park or be used from home. The Society also hosts community events, including Pioneer Day, featuring living history displays, family entertainment, Southern cooking, old-time mountain music, barn dancing, and antique car and tractor shows. Through its park, exhibits, digital tour, and events, Lincoln County Historical Society works to keep local history alive and accessible to the public.
