Linespan is an online flight information service that helps users explore publicly available passenger-flight activity and view current fare prices. It is designed for looking up flights rather than purchasing or booking tickets: the site explicitly states that reservations are not offered. Users can search by departure and destination, choose a travel date, and filter for nonstop flights.

Linespan also provides flight information through fare listings, an airport-style departures and arrivals board, and a live map showing aircraft in the air. Map controls include zoom and an altitude scale, helping visitors follow the displayed activity. The service relies on public ADS-B flight data, with sources identified as adsb.

lol and OpenSky. Its coverage excludes private and military aircraft, as well as aircraft hidden at their owners’ request through LADD or PIA. Linespan says that search requests and IP addresses are not stored.

Overall, it offers a public-facing way to review flight routes, prices, and live passenger-aircraft movement, while leaving ticket purchases to other providers
