Olga and Vilho Linnamo Foundation is a Finnish foundation that has supported creative work, new thinking and social engagement for more than five decades. Its activities encourage fresh perspectives and connections across the arts and sciences. Since 2020, the foundation has focused its grant-making on an annual theme, inviting applicants to explore current questions through different artistic and scientific approaches.
The foundation awards grants and other assistance to people working in the arts and sciences, as well as support for purposes that benefit the public. Applications are generally accepted in May, with the annual call announced on the foundation’s website in late April.
The foundation also presents the Linnamo Award, a Finnish visual arts prize given every two years. Worth €15,000, it recognises openness and breadth of perspective demonstrated in artistic work. The award was first presented in 2021.
Through its themed grants and award, Olga and Vilho Linnamo Foundation supports creative practice and thoughtful engagement with contemporary issues. It is based in Helsinki, Finland.
