Lintulan Säätiö

Kaarlo and Tyyne Lintula Foundation sr is a Finnish foundation dedicated to supporting young students and researchers from the Lapland region. Its purpose is to promote their education, research, and work in science and the arts, with grants awarded primarily on social grounds. The foundation provides study grants for young people pursuing vocational education at the upper-secondary level and research grants for young university students whose studies have reached the thesis stage.

Research funding supports work connected with a university degree and the foundation’s broader charitable purpose. The foundation’s activities are based on the wills of Rovaniemi residents Kaarlo and Tyyne Lintula, who died without children in 1957 and 1959. In addition to distributing grants, it welcomes donations and bequests, enabling donors to contribute to the educational and research opportunities of people from Lapland.

The foundation is based in Rovaniemi, where it handles grant enquiries and applications. Through its funding and donor support, it helps young people pursue their studies and research
