Lion Animal Hospital

Lion Animal Hospital is a veterinary clinic in Higashinada Ward, Kobe, specializing in animal dentistry and oral surgery. The hospital’s approach puts animals’ wellbeing first, with an emphasis on maintaining quality of life rather than simply extending life. It encourages regular health examinations to support the early detection and treatment of illness, and timely care for conditions that can arise as pets grow older, including periodontal disease, arthritis, and dementia.

Led by director Nahoko Yamada, the clinic recognizes that animals cannot explain their symptoms and encourages owners to notice changes and seek advice. Its services include dental treatment and veterinary consultations, with a focus on helping pets live comfortably through every stage of life. The hospital is open on Sunday mornings, as well as on weekday mornings and afternoons; evening consultations are also listed for Monday. Regular closures include Thursdays, public holidays, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Appointment and access information, staff introductions, and updates on temporary closures are available through the hospital’s website.
