LIPA

The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) is an internationally renowned, specialist university-level provider of education and training in the performing and creative arts. Based in Liverpool, it brings together an international community of performers, creatives, technicians, filmmakers and arts business professionals, with learning centred on collaboration and practical experience. Students work together on fully realised productions and projects, developing skills across performance and the creative industries.

LIPA offers foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in acting, dance, theatre and performance design, theatre and production technology, filmmaking and creative technologies, management, music and sound technology. Programmes include specialist pathways such as musical theatre, screen and digital acting, live events, music industry management, songwriting, production and session musicianship. Students also take part in more than 50 productions and events each year, including performances, gigs, festivals, exhibitions and digital projects; many are open to the public. The institute hosts open days and other events for prospective students and visitors, and provides information and support on applications, finance, accommodation and student wellbeing.
