Lisa G. Buckley, Ph.D. is a renowned vertebrate paleontologist and ichnologist with a specialization in the tracks and traces of Mesozoic animals, particularly Cretaceous-age dinosaurs and birds. With extensive experience from her tenure as Collections Manager and Curator at the Peace Region Palaeontology Research Centre in British Columbia, she has led research teams into remote wilderness areas to uncover and study ancient tracks. Her work includes comparing dinosaur and bird tracks found in western Canada to those from around the world, including regions such as Australia, China, and Germany.

Dr. Buckley utilizes contemporary bird behaviors as a living laboratory to derive insights into the fossilized tracks of extinct species. In addition to her research, she engages in science communication, outreach, and public speaking, raising awareness about the importance of paleontology. This website serves as a platform to share her research highlights, publications, and the broader significance of paleontology in understanding our shared heritage.
