Lisa’s Legacy Scholarship is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to honor nurse and nurse practitioner Lisa M. Milonovich by supporting education and carrying forward her commitment to exceptional patient care. The organization funds the Lisa M.
Milonovich Scholarship for Nursing Education through the Children’s Medical Center Foundation, providing annual scholarships for Children’s Medical Center of Dallas employees pursuing nursing or advanced practice nursing education. Since 2017, its support has also reached graduates of Bridgeport High School, Lisa’s alma mater, who plan to pursue nursing. The nonprofit raises funds through donations and fundraising activities, including events and online campaigns, to sustain and grow its scholarship programs.
Its history includes awards to Bridgeport graduates and increased scholarship support made possible by donors. Lisa’s Legacy shares Lisa’s story and invites individuals to contribute, get involved, and help expand opportunities for future nurses. The organization’s work reflects Lisa’s lifelong dedication to pediatric nursing, her service at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, and her encouragement of aspiring caregivers to pursue nursing education
