Listhus is a vibrant art residency program located in Ólafsfjörður, North Iceland, offering a unique sanctuary for artists seeking inspiration from raw landscapes and serene surroundings. Established in 2012 by Alice Liu Shok Han and Sigurdur Svavarsson, Listhus fostered an artistic community that welcomed over 350 creatives from around the globe until its closure in September 2019. The residency provided artists with a warm, home-like atmosphere across two intimate houses, allowing for collaborative projects and cultural exchange.

Listhus also emphasized local engagement, partnering with educational institutions to promote the arts. The picturesque setting of Ólafsfjörður, known for its stunning fjords and rich fishing industries, served as a backdrop for various activities such as hiking, kayaking, and skiing throughout the year. While the program has concluded, Listhus remains a significant part of the cultural landscape in Iceland, reflecting a legacy of artistic exploration and international camaraderie.
