LIT Hamburg

LIT Hamburg, the Literaturzentrum Hamburg, is a literary organization that brings authors, readers, and the wider public together through readings and other literary events. Its program features contemporary writers and explores both literary works and broader social themes. Events include author readings, conversations, and discussion formats that encourage exchange between literature, art, and audiences. The center also takes its programming beyond its usual venues, with events hosted at locations such as Schloss Agathenburg and SerrahnEins.

LIT Hamburg supports literary discovery through its author directory, which highlights writers who have appeared at its events. It also offers school readings and literary formats designed for schools in Hamburg, helping bring authors and literature to students. People interested in supporting the organization can become members, while readers can subscribe to its newsletter for program updates and news. With a varied calendar of events and opportunities for participation, LIT Hamburg serves as a meeting place for literary culture in Hamburg and connects audiences with established and emerging voices.
