Litchfield Fair

Litchfield Fair is a community fair held at the Litchfield Fairgrounds on Plains Road in Litchfield, Maine. Organized by the Litchfield Farmers’ Club, the fair brings together agricultural activities, entertainment, and opportunities for local participation. The 2027 fair is scheduled for September 10, 11, and 12, continuing a tradition captured in its motto, “It’s What a Fair Should Be.”

Fair activities include pulling events featuring trucks, young farmers, horses, and cattle. Visitors can consult the fair book and schedule, explore a grounds map, and find information about rules, vendors, sponsors, and event listings. The organization also offers grounds rental and seasonal fairground storage, with storage space allocated on a first-come, first-served basis as available. Additional community programs include Farmers’ Club membership and scholarships. The website provides access to tickets, forms, and a gallery, along with information for people interested in attending, exhibiting, sponsoring, or using the grounds. The fair’s announcements also recognize the community members who help make each event a success.
