Literaturhaus Frankfurt

Literaturhaus Frankfurt is a cultural institution in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region, based in the rebuilt Old City Library. It brings authors, books and ideas to the public through an engaging program of literary events and opportunities for exchange. Its calendar features readings, discussions, themed evenings, award ceremonies and recurring series, with events for adults as well as children and young people. Many events are available in hybrid formats, and audiences can buy in-person or streaming tickets; a streaming subscription provides access to selected events.

The organization also promotes literary participation through initiatives such as Shared Reading and LiES!, a project presenting literature in Easy Language. Its Young Literature House offers programs for children and teenagers, including readings and activities that encourage listening, discussion and creativity. Visitors can explore exhibitions of award-winning book design in the venue’s foyer. Membership supports the institution’s cultural work and offers benefits including discounted admission and exclusive events. Literaturhaus Frankfurt also provides information about venue rental and catering.
