to Littabella Alpacas

Littabella Alpacas is a family-run alpaca farm in Redmond West, in Western Australia’s Great Southern region, between Albany and Denmark. Shaun and Nicole Read have bred Suri alpacas since 2017 and are members of the Australian Alpaca Association. Their herd is mostly Suri, with a few Huacaya alpacas.

The farm grew from a small group of alpacas kept to guard sheep in Queensland. The Reads later welcomed visitors for guided alpaca walks and hosted workshops, while also taking alpacas to community settings such as aged care facilities, playgroups, schools and public events. After relocating to Western Australia, they brought 21 alpacas with them.

Littabella Alpacas offers opportunities to experience alpacas through visits, including an “Alpacas To You” option. Its website also features alpacas for sale, studs for hire, alpaca care information, events and workshops. The farm welcomes enquiries through its contact form and shares updates on Facebook. Visitors should observe the farm’s biosecurity requirements, including restrictions following travel to countries with declared foot-and-mouth disease.
