Little Bites Big Words

Little Bites, Big Words is a pediatric speech-language pathology private practice founded by Allison Squatrito, M.S., CCC-SLP, in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. The practice serves children from birth to six years old, providing individualized services in clients’ homes or community spaces to make care more accessible and convenient. Allison draws on eight years of experience in children’s hospitals, a neonatal intensive care unit, and outpatient clinics.

Services include feeding, speech, and language evaluations and therapy. Feeding support is available for newborns, infants, and toddlers experiencing challenges such as difficulty with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, transitioning to solid foods, limited food acceptance, or delayed eating skills. Speech therapy assesses and addresses sound production to improve intelligibility, typically using drill-based practice. Language therapy supports children’s understanding and use of communication through play-based or structured approaches, with services available from around 18 months.

Treatment plans are tailored to each child and family, including session timing and duration. New patients can enroll by phone or email, and a free screening is offered during initial contact.
