LiVac is an innovative medical device development company established in 2010. Its flagship product, the LiVac Retractor System, is a single-use, soft silicone device designed to gently lift and hold solid organs using regulated suction. It creates a vacuum between the liver and diaphragm, allowing retraction from above rather than by compression. The flexible retractor is inserted through an existing laparoscopic port incision, avoiding the need for a dedicated incision for placement.

LiVac serves surgeons performing bariatric, robotic, and revisional procedures. The system is designed to minimize patient trauma and scarring, reduce post-operative pain and reliance on pain medication, and support recovery. It can be repositioned, does not interfere with robotic arms, and may reduce procedure time. In some procedures, it also removes the need for a hand-held retractor, freeing the surgical assistant for other tasks.
