About L.I.V.E. Like JT
The Jason Thompson Foundation (JTF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering healthy lifestyles among children and young adults. Founded in 2010 by retired NBA player Jason Thompson following the loss of his cousin to heart disease, the foundation emphasizes the importance of physical health and education. JTF promotes its core initiative, L.I.V.E. Like JT (Learn, Imagine, Voice, Educate), empowering youth to advocate for positive change through a structured educational program.
The foundation serves the community through impactful events, including a Thanksgiving Turkey Drive providing meals and groceries to families, a Christmas Toy Drive for underserved children, and a Bike Giveaway and BBQ that encourages healthy activities. JTF also organizes an annual 5K Walk/Run to engage the community in physical fitness.
In addition to these programs, Jason has built an NBA regulation-sized basketball court in his hometown, offering a dedicated space for youth to develop their skills and passion for the game. Through these efforts, the Jason Thompson Foundation aims to inspire future generations.
