About Liverpool South Pastoral Area
The Liverpool South Pastoral Area Ministry Team (LSPMT) was established in 2015 to foster collaboration among parishes and deepen ecumenical partnerships. Focused on evangelizing individuals, the team encourages inter-parish cooperation by sharing resources, knowledge, and personnel across six parishes, including St Wilfrid and St Anthony of Padua. The LSPMT is committed to spiritual growth, particularly for marginalized communities, and promotes innovative models of pastoral involvement.
Notable initiatives include the 'Living Christ' retreat and the 'Christ Lives in Me' reflection days, which enhance lay ministry engagement. In 2019, the team successfully hired a Pastoral Associate, providing further support to its mission. The LSPMT's overarching aim is to address personal and spiritual needs while reducing ministerial overload for clergy and laity alike.
