Live Taps Bugler

Live Taps Bugler, Inc. provides live Taps performances for military funeral honors in Council Bluffs, Omaha, Lincoln, and surrounding areas of Western Iowa and Eastern Nebraska. The service is led by a trained professional musician who performs Taps on a bugle or trumpet, offering families and funeral directors an alternative to recorded music and electronic ceremonial bugles.

The company emphasizes the difference a live musician can make: a performance can include the subtle nuances, technical accuracy, and heartfelt expression that a recording cannot reproduce. Its aim is to help convey the dignity, honor, and love owed to every veteran through a personal musical tribute.

Live Taps Bugler also explains how ceremonial bugles work and notes that electronic devices can fail because of depleted batteries or other malfunctions. While recorded Taps may be used when a live bugler is unavailable, the company encourages families to request a live performance. Its website provides information about military funeral honors, the meaning of Taps, live performance videos, and ways to make contact.
