Living Aloha Volleyball Academy (LAVA) is a youth volleyball organization serving Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It offers competitive club volleyball alongside camps, clinics, recreational programs, and player development opportunities for young athletes. LAVA’s club season includes tryouts, regular practices, tournaments, and additional skill-building through LAVA Academy Days. Teams are offered at Select and Premier levels, with placement based on tryout results and the rosters formed. Both levels include coaching, competition, Academy Days, and ManaMinds mental performance programming; Premier teams may have more multi-day or travel tournament opportunities.

The academy also emphasizes development beyond volleyball skills. Its tryout evaluations consider effort, attitude, coachability, communication, competitiveness, response to feedback, and team fit. Club dues cover items such as coaching, facility rentals, equipment, tournament entry fees, and college recruiting guidance. Families may have separate costs for uniforms, memberships, travel, and other expenses. LAVA provides outreach initiatives and fundraising opportunities to support player experiences and equipment. The organization invites community involvement through coaching applications, sponsorships, and donations.
