Living Lands & Waters is a prominent environmental organization headquartered in East Moline, Illinois. Established in 1998 by Chad Pregracke, Living Lands & Waters has become the world's only industrial strength river cleanup organization. With their dedicated crew spending up to nine months a year living and traveling on a barge, the organization hosts river cleanups, watershed conservation initiatives, workshops, tree plantings, and other key conservation efforts.

Their mission is threefold: to protect, preserve, and restore the natural environment of the nation's major rivers and watersheds, to raise awareness about environmental issues and responsibility, and to encourage citizens to actively contribute to a cleaner river environment. Living Lands & Waters has made an incredible impact, removing over 13 million pounds of garbage from America's rivers with the help of over 126,500 volunteers.
