About The Living Planet
The Living Planet brand, also known as Loveland Living Planet Aquarium (LLPA), is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring individuals about the diversity of Earth's ecosystems. With a world-class facility, LLPA offers a wide range of learning opportunities for people of all ages, interests, and educational levels. As one of the largest aquariums in the country, it is home to over 6,500 animals representing 500 species, including kelp forests, coral reefs, deep oceans, Asian cloud forests, and South American rainforests.
Additionally, LLPA showcases the waterways of Utah, where it is based. The Aquarium provides a unique experience by immersing visitors in natural ecosystems and bridging the gap between education, entertainment, and conservation. Accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), LLPA aims to foster stewardship for the environment and life on Earth.
With recent expansions, including the new Rio Tinto Kennecott Plaza, LLPA offers peaceful gardens, artistic sculptures, and unique event spaces for visitors to enjoy
