London International Youth Science Forum CIC (LIYSF CIC) is an impartial, not-for-profit social enterprise that runs an international STEM summer programme for students aged 16 to 21. Established in 1959, the forum brings together around 500 participants from approximately 90 countries for a 14-day residential experience at Imperial College London. Its programme combines lectures from leading scientists, including Nobel Prize winners, with specialist sessions, interactive learning and visits to UK universities and scientific facilities, including Oxford and Cambridge.
Students also develop and present a research project at the Science Bazaar, where they can receive expert feedback. The experience is designed to broaden scientific knowledge, strengthen problem-solving and communication skills, and introduce participants to potential study and career paths in STEM. LIYSF offers on-campus and virtual participation, alongside a social and cultural programme.
The residential option includes accommodation and meals, with safety protocols in place. Through its activities, the organisation creates opportunities for young people to explore science and connect with peers from around the world
