LKSO

Aeroklub Soběslav is a volunteer-run flying club based at LKSO in Soběslav, in the heart of South Bohemia. Its members share a passion for aviation and work together to operate the airfield, maintain aircraft and organise events. The club welcomes newcomers interested in learning to fly, taking an introductory flight or exploring membership.

Its activities include gliding, ultralight aviation and powered flying. Glider pilots use thermal currents and ridge waves for flights that can cover tens or hundreds of kilometres. The club offers recreational flying and pilot training on powered aircraft, including PPL(A) and LAPL(A) courses with qualified instructors. It also organises parachute jumps from the historic An-2 biplane.

Visitors can discover aircraft, learn about life at the airfield and attend public events. These include demonstrations of model aviation, parachuting and radio-controlled flying, as well as a family kite-flying day. Aeroklub Soběslav invites people to get in touch with questions about flying, training or joining the club.
