LKVP

Aeroklub Hronov is a Czech flying club based at LKVP, the airfield at Velké Poříčí. Its activities centre on non-powered aviation and gliding, bringing together pilots and enthusiasts for recreational flying, cross-country soaring, competitions and club events. The surrounding region offers opportunities for thermal and wave flying, and the club shares notices and guidance for pilots using local wave conditions, including the importance of checking procedures and registering before flights.

Aeroklub Hronov hosts the Hronov Open Gliding competition (HOP), with multiple classes, scheduled flying days and awards, and participates in the VUTMH cross-country challenge. Its news and results celebrate members’ flights and achievements, while photo galleries document competitions and the flying season. The club also supports the wider gliding community through meet-ups and information about routes and turning points in the LKVP area. Its long history includes the establishment and restoration of the local airfield, with members working to sustain a place where pilots can fly and the community can gather.
