Lliga Contra el Càncer Tarragona i Terres Ebre

The Lliga Contra el Càncer of the Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre districts is a nonprofit organization supporting people affected by cancer and working to improve cancer prevention and control across the region. Its activities combine health promotion, information, practical assistance and community involvement. The Lliga offers emotional support and financial assistance, along with a wig bank, initial prostheses, heart-shaped cushions and fabric bracelets.

Its programs include mutual aid groups, hospital volunteering and activities that promote health and physical activity. The organization also shares information about cancer, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment and psychological aspects, and provides recommendations on health and oncology-related aesthetics. Through local delegations, volunteers and events, it connects with communities throughout its service area.

The Lliga encourages people to get involved through volunteering, membership and donations, and welcomes support through legacies. It also promotes awareness and learning, including awards for high school research projects on oncology, and collaborates on initiatives that bring together sport and solidarity
