La Leche League of Durham is a local breastfeeding support organization serving families in and around Durham. Its website welcomes people at different stages of their breastfeeding journey, including those who are pregnant, experiencing challenges, breastfeeding comfortably, or interested in supporting other families. The group offers opportunities to connect with local leaders and other families through a regular schedule of meetings: an online group on the first Wednesday morning, an in-person group on the third Thursday morning, and an online café on the third Saturday.

The site also directs visitors to other local groups and provides breastfeeding information and library resources. Upcoming events and meeting details are listed on its calendar, helping families find a suitable way to participate. Local leaders can be contacted for support, and the site notes that replies may sometimes be delayed, encouraging visitors to text a leader or another leader if they have not heard back.

La Leche League of Durham’s focus is practical connection, information, and peer support for breastfeeding families
