Its gaze models learn each person’s eye movements through everyday interactions, such as screen touches, clicks and button presses, and improve with use. The technology runs on the device’s existing hardware, without requiring a GPU or dedicated eye-tracking equipment, and keeps facial data on the device.

The company’s Sequoia product is designed to turn vehicle cameras into driver-monitoring eye trackers. It can maintain a model for each driver and calibrate during normal driving, without a separate setup screen. llocus also identifies applications in aviation, accessibility, research and industry, including measuring where pilots look, supporting tablet-based eye control, enabling studies with ordinary webcams, and helping operators select controls by glance.

llocus works with carmakers, suppliers and device makers to develop solutions suited to their cameras and chips. Its products include Sequoia and Kestrel, and the company also offers llocus Desktop.
