About Lloyd Library and Museum
The Lloyd Library and Museum is a renowned independent research library and exhibit space that brings science, art, and history to life. Established by three brothers in the late 19th century, this Cincinnati treasure showcases a vast array of collections spanning rare books, manuscripts, photographs, medicinal products, original art, and artifacts dating from 1493 to the present. With a primary focus on medicinal plants, botany, and pharmacy, the library also explores complementary subjects including chemistry, natural history, voyages and travels, agriculture, and horticulture.
The Lloyd Library and Museum strives to educate and engage visitors and researchers through its resources, exhibitions, and events. Notably, it features The George Rieveschl, Jr. History of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Exhibit, which highlights the Lloyd brothers' invention, the Lloyd Cold Still, used in the production of plant-based medicine.
Whether you're a scientist, historian, artist, gardener, or part of the natural health movement, the Lloyd Library and Museum aims to inspire and captivate audiences with its rich history and exceptional contributions to the fields of science, art, and history
