About LMFDB
The L-functions and Modular Forms Database (LMFDB) is an invaluable online resource dedicated to exploring the intricate world of number theory and arithmetic geometry. It serves as a modern handbook featuring a wealth of information, including tables, formulas, and references related to L-functions and their associated objects. The LMFDB enhances understanding of the mathematical connections predicted by the Langlands program, making it a vital tool for researchers and enthusiasts alike.
The database encompasses a diverse array of mathematical entities, from modular forms and elliptic curves to abelian varieties and Galois groups. With a user-friendly interface, visitors can easily navigate through various topics or discover random entries. The site is continually updated and maintained, with recent expansions such as the modular curves and abstract groups databases. Supported by esteemed organizations like the US National Science Foundation, LMFDB is a testament to collaborative efforts in advancing mathematical knowledge and fostering a deeper understanding of complex mathematical theories.
