About Lobos da Serra
Os Lobos da Serra is an amateur sports team within the sports section of the Associação Desportiva e Recreativa do Loureiro, based in Loureiro, Coimbra, Portugal. Registered with the Portuguese Cycling Federation, the team was founded in 2012 by a small group of local friends drawn to the area’s terrain and its potential for mountain biking. Since then, it has grown to several dozen members and expanded beyond mountain biking (BTT) to include road cycling and trail running.
Friendship remains central to the group’s identity, reflected in its motto, “More than a team, a brotherhood. ” Members participate in these three disciplines, while the organization shares team news, events, routes, galleries and information about its athletes and memorials through its website. Lobos da Serra has also contributed to the local sporting community by helping organize mountain-bike events, including Rota das Cortelhas, Maratona BTT Cidade de Coimbra and Maratona BTT de Cernache
