Local Buddy is a tourism initiative based in Catania, Sicily, designed to connect visitors, hosts, and local businesses. Its first service is the Local Buddy Tourist Card, which hosts can give to their guests to make local recommendations part of a more useful and engaging stay. Visitors use a multilingual web app and interactive map to explore Catania, find local activities, and access exclusive discounts and up-to-date information.

The service also helps hosts reduce repetitive guest questions, enrich the visitor experience, and join a community with dedicated benefits. For local businesses, Local Buddy offers a way to reach tourists while they are in the area, attract customers through dedicated offers, and use a business web app to verify and track activity.

Rooted in knowledge of Catania’s places, food, and stories, Local Buddy aims to help make travel more connected to local communities. The brand welcomes collaboration with tour operators, tourism organizations, institutions, local producers, and others interested in supporting and showcasing the territory.
