Local Coffee is a renowned specialty coffee brand that was established in 2009 and is often considered the birthplace of specialty coffee in San Antonio. Over the years, it has evolved into a roasting company with a total of 11 retail locations in San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas. While the founders, Robby and Neesha, sold the company in February 2020, they retained complete ownership of the original Local Coffee located at Pearl, which they now refer to as Local Coffee Founders.

The founders express immense gratitude for the opportunity to continue doing what they love and have pledged to channel their appreciation towards their dedicated staff, loyal customers (known as Locals), and the vibrant Pearl community. Additionally, Local Coffee proudly serves Proud Mary, an exceptional wholesale partner, which shares their passion for coffee craftsmanship and supports their commitment to the farmers they collaborate with. Through their partnership with Tag Coffee Co, a local San Antonio roaster, Local Coffee actively contributes to the community by donating 50% of profits to local children's shelters.

The strong bond between Local Coffee Founders and Tag Coffee Co was formed when Levi, one of the founders, found inspiration in the specialty coffee scene at Local Coffee when it first opened.
