About Localised
Localised is the commercial arm of the Zero Waste Network, consisting of over 120 members dedicated to resource recovery throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. Our goal is to increase community-led resource recovery enterprises and projects across Aotearoa. We provide capability development to local community organizations, sharing our knowledge and skills and working alongside them to unlock solutions. As zero waste joint venture partners, we are committed to collaborating with organizations that share our values, including councils, government entities, waste companies, consulting firms, and community enterprises.
Our team, led by our Chief Executive Matthew Luxon, Executive Director Ian Stupple, Director Shelby Young, and others, is passionate about making a positive impact. We assess potential projects based on whether we are invited to work in a community, if the project generates a positive financial return, if it will have a positive impact, and if our values align.
