Maui Surfing Lessons offers private and group surf instruction in West Maui, with lessons based at Guardrails, a gentle beginner-friendly break about a mile south of Lahaina. The local team focuses on helping first-timers feel prepared and confident, while also offering coaching for surfers seeking to improve their technique. Lessons last 1.5 hours, are open to all ages, and begin with 15 to 30 minutes of land-based instruction and a safety briefing before entering the water.

Customers can choose one-on-one lessons, sessions for two or three people, larger groups of four to thirteen, or family and beginner lessons. Prices start at $220 for a private lesson, $280 for two people, and $360 for three; groups of four or more start at $100 per person, before tax. Surfboards, surf shoes, and rash guards are included, with professional photos available as an option. The instructors are local surfers, including Kevin Sullivan, a World Surf League competitor since 2009, and Nick Heradia, who has taught at the break since 2003.
